Our dedicated Human Resources Section minimizes risk and maximizes safety and productivity, while our highly engaged team interacts with applicants and employees to administer employee benefits, uphold merit principles, and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
The Human Resource Section is responsible for employee recruitment and selection, hiring/promotional examinations, position classification, benefits administration (Medical, Dental, Vision), Worker's Compensation administration, liability insurance, Employee Assistance Program, drug testing and medical services, employee relations, and supervisor and new-hire training regarding employment issues and policy development and administration.

- Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
Authority employees can choose from several different medical and dental insurance plans, vision insurance, prescription coverage and flexible benefit plans. There is also a retirement post-employment health savings plan, with contributions from the Authority, which helps employees afford medical costs when they retire. These plans are administered for the Authority by Kairos Health Arizona. - Retirement Plans, Life Insurance
In addition to participation in either the Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System or the Arizona State Retirement System, employee benefits include Authority contributions to alternative Social Security Plan (401a) and Post Employment Health Plan, optional employee contributions to a Deferred Compensation Plan (457) and other voluntary retirement savings plans. Employee life insurance and long-term disability insurance plans are paid for by the Authority. - Vacation, Holiday, Personal Days
