Fire Investigation

The Fire Investigation Section conducts investigations on all fires involving large dollar loss, fatalities or injuries to firefighters and/or civilians and any fires deemed suspicious in nature.

 

Fire and arson investigation is a complicated endeavor that requires a coordinated effort between the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority and the appropriate law enforcement agency. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency that investigates crimes dealing with arson and explosion against a person or property within the unincorporated areas of Maricopa County.
